My Western Herbal Journey
My work at Sol to Root is rooted in a living relationship with the land, my ancestors, and the plants that have always cared for our communities. This page offers a closer look at the training, study, and practice that ground the herbal and flower essence work woven into my retreats, workshops, and 1:1 offerings.
Empower
Growth
In February 2026, I completed the Western Herbalism Program at Traditions and earned my Certificate in Western Herbalism, marking nearly six years of continuous herbal study alongside my work in mentoring, wellness, and community organizing.

Discover the Power
of Flowers
In 2021, I completed a Flower Essences Herbal Certification program, deepening my understanding of the emotional and energetic dimensions of healing. Programs like these train practitioners to work with the vibrational qualities of flowers to support clients through stress, grief, anxiety, life transitions, and other emotionally charged experiences.
My flower essence practice centers:
-
Emotional and spiritual support for individuals and groups
-
Custom formulas aligned with personal intentions and ancestral guidance
-
Gentle, long-term support for integration, clarity, and inner resilience

How This Training Supports You
Herbalism at Sol to Root Wellness is not about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all remedies. It is about remembering that we are in relationship with the land, and that healing can happen through ritual, rest, story, and plants.
Drawing on this training, I weave plant medicine into:
-
Retreats and travel experiences that include forest therapy, ethnobotany, cacao and tea ceremonies, and land-based rituals
-
Workshops and circles focused on nervous system support, stress relief, and reconnection with ancestral practices
-
Individualized support where appropriate, such as herbal teas, tinctures, and flower essence blends as part of a broader wellness plan
This ongoing study allows me to show up as a grounded, trauma-informed practitioner—bridging Western herbal knowledge, ancestral wisdom, and evidence-informed wellness practices in service of both individual and collective healing.
